“There is wisdom of the head and there is wisdom of the heart.” -Charles Dickens
“For He loves us with unfailing love; the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.” -Psalm 117
Life is made up of thousands and thousands of daily decisions. One morning we wake and say, “How did I get here?” “How could this have happened?” Usually it’s not one big decision but a long line of small ones. We can mostly likely trace the start back to a day far from today. The key to waking up feeling good about where we are is to have the majority of these decisions be good ones.
Getting our decisions to come from the heart, the core being of who we are, will bring a consistency, a pattern to our thoughts and actions, resulting in living the life we long to live. Our reasoning won’t get us there. Left alone we will take too many self-centered paths. We need a wise heart to follow.
True wisdom of the heart comes from a heart we can trust. A faithfulness of love that has been proven over and over again. God’s heart is that heart! Connecting to God’s heart gives us the wisdom to make decisions resulting in that life of purpose, hope, and wise decisions. Let’s seek His heart with all of ours.
